RJ Roberto

RJ RobertoRJ Roberto serves as the Deputy General Counsel of Legal Affairs and Safety/Risk Management Department for the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA). As Deputy General Counsel, Roberto is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Department. He provides advice and counsel on a wide variety of legal matters involving CMHA business.

Public service is a passion of Roberto’s and prior to joining CMHA, Roberto served as in-house counsel for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. Roberto provided a full range of legal services involving labor & employment matters, administrative matters including Ohio’s Public Records Act, and transactional matters. Prior to joining the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority Roberto was in private practice assisting individuals with a variety of legal matters including personal injury, social security disability claims, consumer fraud issues and “lemon law” claims.

Roberto was born and raised in the Cleveland area and is a proud graduate of Saint Ignatius High School, John Carroll University and Cleveland State University College of Law. Roberto is admitted to practice law in the States of Ohio, Michigan, and Florida, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Roberto is also a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
