Leslie Santiago

Leslie SantiagoLeslie Santiago, Regional Deputy Director, has over 20 years of housing experience at CMHA. Since joining CMHA in 2000, Santiago has held various positions including Receptionist, Eligibility Analyst, Recertification Specialist, Quality Assurance Specialist, Property Manager and Supervisor of LRPH Applications Department. Santiago was awarded the CMHA Manager of the Month award in June 2018 and again in December 2022. She now oversees a region of 14 properties. Santiago’s primary responsibilities include oversite of the agency’s housing portfolio, which includes Low-Income Public Housing (LIPH) and Multi-Family Housing, implementation of the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Rental Demonstration Program (RAD).

Santiago has an educational background in Business Management at Ohio University, Myers University and Cuyahoga Community College. She earned her National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) of Public Housing Management Certification, and is a proud graduate of the HALDI Lead Program. Santiago also fluently reads, speaks and writes Spanish. With her veteran experience with the organization and exemplary leadership qualities, Santiago helps to fulfill the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority mission to create safe, quality, affordable housing
