53 future Project Based Vouchers (PBV’s) at the Hitchcock Center for Women.

The Hitchcock Center, an addiction recovery center that caters to women, broke ground on construction of its new rehabilitation treatment center. The 77,00 square foot facility will house 42 residential treatment patients and offer an additional 53 units for Project Based voucher (PBV) participants upon completion next year. PBV’s
are for specific units in a privately-owned rental property. In these properties, the voucher subsidy stays with the building so when the assisted tenant moves out, the rental assistance remains with the building for the next eligible occupant.

The center’s groundbreaking ceremony brought out a slew of community support from people such as Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb, members from the Cleveland Clinic, City officials and board members from The Hitchcock Center. This center, one of the first of its kind, will allow mothers to live with their children as they attend addiction treatment.
