Public Hearing for Public Housing Agency Plans and Capital Fund Plan

In accordance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations, the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) has developed its Public Housing Agency (PHA) Plan, for FY2024, and Capital Fund Program (CFP) Plan, a five-year plan for 2024-2028, for 2024. CMHA seeks to provide guidance to residents, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and members of the public regarding its mission, strategies, and policies for serving the needs of low-income families throughout Cuyahoga County.

This announcement initiates a 45-day review period that concludes with the Public Hearing. Under consideration are proposed changes to the FY2023 PHA Plan. This includes proposed revisions to the Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy, the Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan, as well as the proposed FY2024 CFP Plan and budget.

The PHA and CFP plans, and supporting documents, are available for review at the CMHA Executive Office located at 8120 Kinsman Road, Cleveland, Ohio from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning Tuesday, August 1, 2023, and can also be viewed on the CMHA website.

Comments can be submitted prior to but are welcome at the Public Hearing to be conducted by the CMHA Board of Commissioners on Friday, September 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the CMHA Board Room located at 8120 Kinsman Road, Cleveland, Ohio. The public is invited.
